We love an anzac biscuit. They are so quick to make and making them into a sandwich makes it such a lovely treat.
This is something to keep you entertained for a while and your tummy happy.
Ingredients -
110 grams Rolled Oats
150 grams Plain Flour
225 grams White Sugar
50 grams Coconut (shredded) I used ground Almonds because Tesco did not have coconut
125 grams Salted Butter
45 grams Golden Syrup
½ teaspoon Bicarbonate Of Soda
20 mls Boiling Water
250 grams Cream Cheese (cubed and softened)
45 grams Golden Syrup (extra)
20 mls Milk
How to make them -
Combine oats, flour, sugar and coconut/Ground almonds in a bowl.
Combine butter and golden syrup in a saucepan and stir over medium heat until melted and combined.
Mix soda with boiling water in a small bowl, then stir into butter mixture.
Pour into ingredients with oats and mix until combined.
To make the filling, beat cream cheese, extra golden syrup and milk together in a bowl until smooth.
lastly spread Golden Syrup Cream onto Anzac Biscuits and sandwich together.
It is such an easy biscuit to make and they taste so good. The only problem will be that you will want more and more.
