Are you looking for a healthy drink for your children? We are producing pasteurised organic milk which can be brought from the farm.
Our Shed
The shed has a vending machine with glass bottles, sweet treats (from The Coffee Post in Fairford), honey (from bees on the farm), cheese, meat (from Andy Rumming) and eggs (from our rescue hens).
We currently have three other vending machines. One is to collect milkshake syrups, all our milkshakes syrups are gluten free. The second vending machine dispenses whole organic milk, in two amounts - 500ml or 1 litre. The last one is a coffee machine which makes coffee using Rave coffee beans, which are roasted in Cirencester and Whole pasteurised milk from the cows.
Our Milk
We have pasteurised it slowly, heating it up to 64C for half an hour then cooling it back down to 4C.This is unlike the milk you would purchase at the supermarket, this has been flash pasteurised so the milk has been heated to 72C in 15 seconds.
Pasteurising the milk slowly means that we keep lots of goodness in the milk. Which is perfect for us and our children, giving them lots of vitamins in a tasty drink. Milk is full of nutrients needed for overall development and building strong bones and teeth.
Milk is full of -
Iodine- which is good for normal growth
Phosphorus- for energy release
Protein- for growth and development
Potassium- for muscle and nerve functions
Vitamin B2- for normal skin and vision
Vitamin B12- for normal immune function
In a study in Canada in 2016, they evaluated if drinking a certain type of milk would this effect the vitamin D levels in children. It shows that children drinking whole milk had higher vitamin D levels than any other type of milk. Also that they had a lower BMI compared to other children who drank 1% milk.
The NHS recommends that you should give your child at least 350ml a day of milk. Which can be two servings of dairy foods, such as cheese, yoghurt or milk.
At our vending machine shed there is the option to buy milkshakes made with organic milk. These milkshakes are suitable for vegetarians and gluten free! We have a weekly special which is voted in by followers on social media. So keep an eye out for any polls on our stories.
