Milk is high in protein which a great if you are into your fitness, as it is important for muscle repair and builds muscle. This is because it supplies your body with amino acids.


The protein in milk is needed for normal growth and development in our children's bones. A glass of milk contains calcium and phosphorus which helps support our bones.


High protien breakfasts keep children fuller for longer compared to carbohydrates and fats.


Studies have shown if you have breakfast in the morning it helps children focus and concentrate at school.



If you want to know how to add more protein into your diet check out these ideas.


1 - Add milk to your porridge instead of water. Adding fruit will add more nutrient to it.

Overnight oats are a great one if you have limited to time in the mornings.


2 - Adding it to your morning coffee


3 - Post workout smoothie, with additional fruit that can boost your diet and the in the milk will help with muscle recovery.


4 - A glass of milk before bed, keeps you fuller for longer. It also helps support your muscles while you scleep.


5 - Making macaroni cheese, a great recipe to get the kids to eat and you can add veggies into it. Win win.
